Aion Leveling Guide – Great Grinding Spots

If you’ve been playing Aion Online, I’m pretty sure you noticed that there’s grinding to be done, every level, at least after you pass level 25. However, questing is the main leveling method not only in Aion but in many MMOs, and players prefer it to grinding, mostly because by doing quests the game sets up goals and achievements for you, you get rewards and you get involved in the game storyline.

On the other hand, grinding has “boring” as a main characteristic but in Aion, well folks, it’s necessary. Until level 20, you usually get enough XP from quests plus gathering and crafting, but after level 20, you’re going to feel the lack of XP.

So, here are a few good spots for grinding in Aion Online for Elyos and Asmodians, for 20+ levels:

Elyos:

- lvl 20-22 - Eltnen Fortress or Eiron Forest, Eltnen – grind on everything it moves at these locations;

- lvl 22-24 - Revenge Valley, Theobomos – grind on the level 22-24 harpies here;

- lvl 22-25 - Putrid Mire and Eiron Desert, Eltnen – kill whatever it moves at the Putrid Mire and grind on the Basilisks, Gnarls and Kurins in Eiron Desert;

- lvl 24-25 - Eltnen – grind on Ancient Caryatids wherever you can find a good camp (if the ranged ones are a problem, don’t bother);

- lvl 25-27 - Eltnen – Ancient Caryatids;

- lvl 32-34 - Fire Temple, Eltnen – grind on Upper Abyss Drakes (34 lvl) , or on whatever you can kill solo; if you can’t kill them fast solo, bring a friend;

- lvl 36-37 – Arbolu’s Haven, Heiron – grind on the undead mobs, all around Arbolu’s Haven;

- lvl 37-38 - Lepharist Citadel, Eltnen – Bring a friend and grind on all the elites you can kill here;

- lvl 37-40 - Kysis Isle, Upper Abyss (to the East) – Grind on all the Kysis mobs here, they are easy to kill and drop nice stuff and Kinah;

Asmodians:

- lvl 20-22 - Morheim Snowfield, Morheim (North) – grind on whatever it moves there;

- lvl 20-22 - Polluted Wastes (South), Brusthonin – grind on all the bugs there;

- lvl 22-24 - Patamor Ridge or Patamor Thicket, Morheim – The shroomy mobs are your main priority, if there’s competition grind on the elementals, a bit North;

- lvl 24-26 - Havenjark Farm and Havenjark Public Cemetery, Brusthonin – easy grind on all the zombies at these locations;

- lvl 26-29 - Fortress of Sorrow, Morheim – grind on the ghosts at this location;

- lvl 30-32 - Beluslan Fortress, Beluslan – grind on everything it moves at this location;

- lvl 32-34 - Mosbear Snowfield, Beluslan – grind on the Mosbears here; careful though they give a nasty debuff;

- lvl 34-37 - Besfer Ghost Village, Beluslan – grind on the undead (lvls 36-37);

- lvl 39-40 - Hunibor Ice Gate, Beluslan – grind on Snow Snufflers, Snow Taygas and Frost Eye Ettins, all pretty easy to kill;

However, always start grinding only when you run out of quests. If you follow an optimized quest route the XP bonus you get completing a cluster of quests is much better than what you can get by killing mobs at one or two camps.

Most players in Aion Online have heard about the various guides created for this game, but only a few of them actually use a guide, to enhance their progress. Some are reticent, some think they don’t need a guide and some never heard about the guides at all. However, there are people who like to use leveling and Kinah making guides, not only for Aion but for other MMOs as well, because they usually contain about all the information for leveling, in-game money making or other aspects.

Players are reticent in using or acquiring leveling or Kinah guides for many reasons. They have the deluded idea that using as guide is cheating, they don’t trust the authors, they think most of the guides are scams or they think that a guide will ruin their whole game experience.

There are very few players that know everything about anything in a game. These are usually devoted players, who dedicate their time not just for playing the game, but to understand the game mechanics and get the maximum they can get from every piece of content.

Most of the players are in need of a guide, even if they don’t realize it. This doesn’t necessary mean that they don’t have the skills to play successfully, maybe they are just staring to play MMOs or maybe they just don’t have enough time to improve their gameplay. For example, it really sucks to pick up quests and start working on them randomly (this will make you waste your time), instead of following a certain route and complete more than 3-4 at one time.

Regardless their motive, using a guide will really help them to achieve their goal: to have fun and be able to compete with other players.

So, who really needs to use a leveling or Kinah guide?

I’ll start with the main category of players that can benefit from using a guide:

  • Casual players. Having their play time limited, it is crucial for them to advance fast through levels and to get a decent equipment, so they can be prepared for the end game content, where the real fun is. It’s important for them to use every minute at maximum, even if they play only a few hours a week.
  • Dedicated gamers. A really good guide uncovers the secrets known only by very few experienced players and this is exactly what are they looking for. A dedicated player can only enrich their game experience by using a guide.
  • Veteran players who just started a new game. They usually want to skip all the “boring” stages and jump right into the “action” level.
  • Players who want to go through all the content and to not skip any aspect that the game offer. They like to get involved in the storyline of the game. Very helpful here is a strategy guide that covers leveling, money farming, crafting, trading, etc.
  • Last but not least, there are players who really don’t know how to get past the “newbie” status or they simply can’t without help. This is not something to be ashamed of. Accepting the other people help and knowledge is the only way to improve yourself. After all, this is how we do in real life, right?

In the end I want to conclude by saying that there is no reason to not use an Aion Leveling Guide or an Aion Kinah Guide. You are not cheating if you use a guide, it’s like you are using a GPS to help you reach your vacation destination faster and easier. If you don’t trust the author, just look around for reviews, check their rating, look for samples of the guide you’re interested, see what other people say. This way nothing can go wrong and you can’t get scammed. And if you buy a guide and are not pleased with it, just make use of the money back guarantee that almost all guide authors are offer. You don’t risk a thing!
